Report Marine Field
Trip in Dutungan Island and Poputo Beach
Day
1
On
October 4 to 5, majoring in business travel for semester 3 conducted a marine field
trip in Barru Regency, namely on Pulau Dutungan. There we will try water sports,
namely diving and snorkeling. We are very enthusiastic in the field trip this time
because this is the first experience in diving and snorkeling activities. This field
trip lasted for 2 days and one night. The first day we departed starting from the
beloved campus of the Makassar Poltekpar campus using a bus for 3-4 hours. The first
destination we visited was dutungan island.
The first activity we did was to ride
a boat that had been prepared to dutungan island for 10 minutes then listen to the
explanation from the diving instructor about how to use diving equipment and steps
that must be done when diving later. After that we had lunch and continued with
diving and snorkeling. Incidentally my name is called first for snorkeling. It turned
out that snorkeling was very exciting because I could see the beauty of the underwater
which was amazing even though I did not know swimming I could swim using a lifejacket
and after that I was diving. In the first try I failed because I could not control
how to breathe and how to cope when the ear hurts while diving but at the second
experiment I was able to do it and I did diving smoothly and I could see the beauty
of the underwater which is very beautiful namely the beauty of coral reefs, fish
small fish and many more. But the most important thing is that I already had my
first experience of diving and snorkeling. The first thing I realized after diving
was that I fell in love with these activities while being amazed by the true beauty
of the underwater.
After
diving and snorkeling we gathered again to take a group photo and play very exciting
games on the beachside dutungan. After that we got ready to get on the boat and
continue the journey to the pomegranate hotel in the city of Parepare. Upon arrival
at the hotel we went directly to the room that has been determined.
At
the hotel we are very comfortable and satisfied with the services provided. After
the evening prayer we prepared to have dinner at Ayam Penyet Ria Restaurant which
is located not far from the Pomegranate Sari hotel. After dinner, we presented and
continued with the entertaiment of each group. After that we returned to the room
to rest and continue the activity of the field trip the next day
Day 2
The
second day of the field trip began with morning exercise while taking a leisurely
stroll to the true love statue of habibie and Ainun for photos. The statue is one
of the icons of the city of Parepare. in together and back to the hotel for breakfast.
After that we get ready and check out of the hotel and return to continue the trip
to Poputo Beach which is one of the famous destinations in the city of Parepare.
There
we observed and enjoyed the beautiful sea view and very fresh air. There are many
gazebos, gazebos designed in unique, colorful colors that are rented by visitors
to sit while looking at the beauty of poputo beach. We also played the swing there
and tasted the food served there while listening to karaoke music sung by one of
our friends. After making observations there we went to Teras Empang restaurant
which is located in the center of Parepare
The uniqueness of the restaurant is that the restaurant
floats above the Jenen river in the shape of a boat. And the air there is very fresh,
plus beautiful scenery. The shape of the restaurant is very unique because it is
out door and has a very large boat. After lunch we took a group photo and then continued
on our way back to the Makassar Poltekpar campus. We arrived in Makassar around
4 pm And we are thankful we can do the field trip this time safely and certainly
fun
