·
Day 1
(Makassar-Barru-Enrekang-Toraja)
On
the 21st to the 23rd October we upw semester 3 students of class B took a field
trip to Toraja. In the morning we had gathered in front of the orange building
to get ready for the absence and prepare everything needed. At 8 o'clock we had
left for Toraja. I am very happy with this tour because we will be tracking in
Toraja. Because according to what I heard from class A that the scenery in
Toraja was very beautiful and still very natural. And I'm very curious about
the culture there. After 3 hours of travel we arrived at Kupa Beach restaurant
in Barru Regency. There we were welcomed with a welcome drink and a very
beautiful view of Kupa beach and very fresh air. And the restaurant is also
made of wood so it looks simple but beautiful. There we had lunch while
enjoying the beautiful beach view and after that we prayed at the restaurant's
prayer room.
After
the prayer we continued our trip to toraja but before that we stopped at
resting on bambapuang mountain for coffee break while enjoying the beautiful
and unique view of bambapuang mountain ... the air there was very fresh so it
was suitable with warm tea and fried bananas which happened to be served for
we.
After a coffee break and a group photo, we continued our journey to Toraja.
The first thing we did when we arrived in Toraja was we were singed to take a
picture in front of the Toraja gate, there was a Toraja traditional house, a
tongkonan above the gate. The tongkonan house is an icon of the world toraja
regency.
After entering the toraja district my eyes were not sleepy anymore
because the night view in toraja was very beautiful combined with the colorful
street lights that decorate the city of toraja very beautiful especially around
the statue of Lakipadada. After an hour's drive from toraja to north toraja we
also arrived at the Indra Hotel, our lodging for 2 nights.
There we were also
welcomed with a welcome drink, Dutch Eggplant Juice. After arriving at the
hotel we immediately changed clothes and headed to the restaurant penyet ria
chicken for dinner. And back to the hotel to rest fully to prepare the energy
for traking the next day.
·
Day 2
(Full Day Tracking)
On
the second day of our first activity, which was a breakfast gathering. On the
second day I felt very strong and excited because my sleep was very good all
night because of satisfying hotel facilities. After breakfast we took a bus to
the location of the traking ... we traking for 2 hours including soft
traking. But we are not tired because the scenery in Toraja is very beautiful
and natural.
And we often stop bike to see the tongkonan house in toraja and take
pictures. The air in Toraja is very cold so we are not easily tired and sweaty.
We traking up the mountain there tehambar very wide rice fields and a very
beautiful view. The road was very challenging so we felt eager to embrace it.
After that we arrived at mentirotiku restaurant. The restaurant is very beautiful
because it is located on the mountain so we can see the residential houses that
are very beautiful. There we tasted the traditional Toraja food, Pa'piong. What
turns out the food is burned in bamboo. It contained chicken meat that had been
crushed and mixed with spices that had been made. It feels very fragrant and
delicious. Many of my friends like it very much.
After lunch we pray and return
to traking for approximately 5 hours. We toured villages in Toraja while
looking at the daily life of the people there. Very interesting starting from
elementary school students who play and everyday life of a housewife in Toraja.
We also looked at the process of making a traditional tongkonan house and saw
an expensive animal in toraja, a large buffalo or tedong bonga. I really like
seeing teddy bonga because of its cute color which is pink and black and its
big body. And we also saw people who were preparing food for the thanksgiving
event. After that we returned to continue our journey through the vast rice fields.
After 5 o'clock we took the bus and to the tourist attractions Lombok
Parinding. There we saw a very old grave and according to our lecturer that the
grave had not been touched by human hands since it was placed there. So the
arrangement is a mess. But that is the uniqueness of these tourist attractions.
After that we continue the journey to the sensory hotel to rest. But before
taking a break, we went to the famous coffee shop in Toraja, Aras caffe.
The
place is very natural because it is made of wood and has 2 floors. There we had
dinner and had fun by singing together. We are very happy because this
relationship is our last tour before separating for 6 months for training.
After dinner we went home to the hotel we just walked because the distance between
the hotel and the restaurant is very close. After walking for about 5 minutes
we arrived at the hotel senses and each room to rest. And continue activities
on the third day.
·
Day 3
(Toraja-Enrekang-Parepare-Barru-Maros-Makassar)
At 5 am the telephone in our room rang as a morning
call from a hotel employee who had been given the mandate to wake us up. After
that I get up and get ready for breakfast and prepare the goods because this is
the last day and we will check out of the hotel. After that, we had breakfast
at the hotel's sensory menu, which is bread, fried rice, and drinks such as hot
tea and traditional Toraja coffee. After breakfast we loaded the goods on the
bus and continued our trip to the toraja coffee shop. There we listened to an
explanation of the types of coffee and how they are made. As well as things
that should not be done while drinking coffee. And we were also given the
opportunity to try the taste of toraja coffee. It was indeed different from the
usual sachet coffee sold at merchants. And we were also presented with a traditional
Toraja cake, depressed cake.
After that we went to resting on Mount Bambapuang.
There we coffe break and return to continue the journey. We ate lunch at
Parepare at the terrace restaurant in the empang and after that we were alone
in Barru district to see the livelihood of fishermen there and after that we
returned to Makassar. Before in Makassar we were at the Grand Mall Maros for
dinner. I am very happy because this is the first time I entered grandmall
maros. After dinner, we returned to Makassar precisely at the Makassar Tourism
Polytechnic campus. Okay guys I guess that was my experience during a fieldtrip
in Toraja. Very fun right? Okay, thank you for visiting my blog.
